To be fair, if the plan all along was to go on the break, it wouldn't have been a great idea to broadcast today's tactics to everyone before the stage.

Also looks like Pinot tried some obfuscation saying his legs went yesterday. Looks more likely he had a stomach bug or similar.

Alaphilippe not a pure climber after all. He is more of a Rebellin-type. Better climber than pure punchers like Gilbert, but less than explosive climbers such as Valverde, Rodriguez and Martin.

If large group comes in yes, they'll hardly eliminate half of the field.

As long as he comes in large-ish Grupetto no one will be in much trouble.

He's not in the gruppetto right now. Him and Eisel are minutes behind the gruppetto.
