If Contador is this bad it makes sense not to stop Kreuziger. But then, it'd make sense for Kreuziger not to lose some seconds in a finish like this.

I mean, they're not going to get much better than top 7 with Kreuziger even if he's great, so I'd say at this point in the race it'd still be better to have him help Contador in situations that would make him lose seconds, not minutes.

He got what he wanted from today - a load of mountain classification points. That's his goal now for the Tour.

I can understand Kreuziger riding for himself as a plan B. But majka, 18 minutes down, riding for 3rd place on the stage instead of helping Contador?

maybe kreuziger needs to be up high for car position or for another card to play? If contador can recover well before aspin, having kreuziger up there is better.

Majka did *** nothing, he rode like a *** today, he accomplished nothing, and Kreuziger would've lost 10-20 seconds if he helped Contador, it's nothing. Tinkoff is useless.

The plan is not GC, it's polka dots and green.

Majka for Polkadot, Sagan for green, chasing stage wins with Majka and whoever else. Tinkoff have plenty of other things to go for in the race, Contador should just drop out and go for the Vuelta again.
