UCI should definitely bring a rule to ban corners in final 200 meters on flat finishes.

Sagan and Gaviria could've won, but they were cautious. It was an weird finish. The Trek guy was causing havoc. Can you guys imagine this at the tour with ettix, lotto, dimension data, ag2r and cofidis? Massive chaos.

Trek guy causing havoc, you mean Van Poppel who rides fro Sky no?

Nobody would want to go all out for that ***, I can't understand what's the fun behind designing such a finish. However, glad that Richeze won.

Yeah... what was the point of first going straight ahead, passing about 200 metres away from the finish line, ride a circuit, and then make a 90 degree turn to get to the finish line?

I think he means Stuyven, he tried was fighting for Richeze's wheel with Gaviria.

Fighting for with a neo-pro for his leadout man's wheel dubious but perhaps advantageous. When said neo-pro is the back-to-back World Omnium amidst his Olympic preparations, it might not quite turn out to be such a clear opportunity.

No, I was talking about Stuyen behaving like an *** on a finale like this. He wasn't trying to gain position through being faster, he was just causing caos and danger.

Wow, that's some serious handlebar-gripping power right there.

Sheer class.
Gotta hand it to him, he managed to keep himself from popping right of the bike.

Another great save from Sagan - Lent his left elbow into Gaviria's hip to keep his balance - Superstar.

i wonder how often do you see a leadout man winning the stage ahead of his sprinter?

I guess not to often. One that comes to mind is Gert Steegmans beating Boonen in the 2007 TdF.

Van Poppel relegated according to Geraint Thomas.
That's just stupid, the race organisers are to blame, the whole mess could have been avoided if they actually designed a normal sprint stage.
If anything Van Poppel should be praised for his bike handling skills.

They just *had* to put that corner in there.
Not the first time TdS do this 'conneries' (pardon my French).
