Must be some kind of a record to fall that much in one season. He falls nearly every race

sagan crashed as well which means there was probably some witchery stuff going on

How is that even possible with his strong forearms!! Checkmypecs explain this!!!,!,!!!,

His BMI is too low

Saying you shouldn't train your arms because Sagan fell once is like saying you shouldn't wear a seatbelt because some dude wearing a seatbelt was killed in a car crash once.

Nice to see Darwin get a win after the near misses in the Giro.

Kiryenka must be the nearest thing to a perpetual mobile machine. Watching his elegant style in front of Boswell was a real clash. The main favourites were understandably playing very cagey with the string of big GC stages coming up. Talansky managed to drag himself back into contention. Only Spilak lost a significant amount of time. It will be interesting to see how Latour continues. It looks like a real French renaissance.

Or like saying GT GC riders should have higher BMI because Cadel Evans once won with a relatively high BMI for a GT rider ;)

Any rational reason for Eurosport not broadcasting this week race?

It seems British Eurosport have shown some stages live but the next couple of days its just Tennis and Le Mans coverage so only highlights, Sunday afternoon is live again.

I live in Portugal, and, according to the TV guide, in the last days they transmitted again the Dauphine (for whatever reason I don't get) and tomorrow they'll start broadcasting the Route du Sud, along with Le Mans and Tennis, but no reference to Suisse. I thought all Eurosports had the same orders.

I just caught up. Pleased with the Frenchies :) . I don't know how to make it yet, but Spilak, always a contender at the TdS, lost quite some time. Too early to draw conclusions IMO.

Don't want to cherry-pick here, but the bold part actually isn't true. Last year was the first time he was a major contender. If you add TdRomandie, now that's a different story.

Good to see Atapuma finally get a win after being pipped in the Giro. It's a good job Kirby wasn't commentating or we would have witnessed a verbal meltdown at the finish line

And why would he contribute?! He's the best climber, so what? His only task today is to win the stage. He did that perfectly. I'm sure he and his team are very satisfied with today's performance
If no-one had contributed, he would've been caught by Barguil et al.
So you can't play the 'smart one' too often.

he won, so he was smart and he already said he knew the climb well and knew where he had to attack. atapuma did everything perfect yesterday

I saw the stage live with Quigley/Smith commentating yesterday here http://www.cyclinghub.tv/livestream so hoping it will be the same again today :)

@Tonton : I can't respond to your message but I'm on french forum "Le Gruppetto".

To us, Latour is a top contender. Able to accompany Contador and Quintana on Balès during the last Route du Sud. He has a big room for improvement, especially in ITT (he is already better than guys like Rolland, Barguil or Bardet). His style in mountain can be improve too, he has some useless movements.

Watchya mean? Referring to the fact that Kiryienka looked so at ease he could - to cite a Danish commentator - start knitting a sweater.

Kirienka looks smooth while Boswell was tearing his bike apart.

Last year Hirt was kicking Latour's ass at Österreich rundfahrt and look where is he now... Sad for Hirt, good for Latour. But all hope is not lost yet. Hirt needs to leave CCC anyway...

All that time spent alone with Froome wouldn't have helped his riding style to be more elegant.
