Ion Izagirre quietly hanging up there and still at a striking distance. I think he'll do the best ITT tomorrow of the GC riders.

So where are all those showers of insults towards TJ now?

People take one bad scene and make a complete dysphoric film of it.

He was let go, then faded at the end against Giant's second GC guy and Astana's third (if that). Keep in mind that neither of those teams first options are top contenders for the Tour.
I mean, good for Tejay, nice win, solid comeback, but let's keep it in perspective.

Funny, I said Barguil would take the jersey and Talansky will probably take it tomorrow. Dunno if that was here or some other board. But it did happen.

I also read elsewhere that Kelderman would fail and drop to 9th, that also happened :D

This TdSuisse is full of surprises, nearly every 'contender' has had a bad day now.

Yes. Barguil, Lopez and Talansky have been the most consistent and no surprise they have the top 3 spots of the GC. Still time for them to have a bad day, but I'd be happy if any of the three mentioned takes the win in the end.

Hard climbs like this shouldn't be at the end of the stage. It kills all the racing. It would be much better if it was penultimate climb some 30-40km from the finish.
Anyway great respond from TJ, and a good ride from Lopez, Barguil and Talansky. It's still a wide open race. Ion Izagirre could be very dangerous in last two stages

Wow, that's a catchy hashtag. Simple and easy to remember. I can see it going viral.

And Tejay still won't finish the TdF.

Most of those ''insults'' came after he went after a teammate.

He didn't go after a team mate. He was trying to distance his rivals. He was/is here for GC, y'know?

And if you think that justifies all the vitriol he got, well...

TVG feeling better today :)

How can you like a rider like Tejay?

What's wrong with liking TVG  You damn haters  :D

Tell me one thing what's likeable about Tejay?
He was against cancelling the mountain stage at Tirreno-Adriatico and wants to ban team radios.

He was not the only one against the canceling. Banning team radios would be great imo. So if somebody has a different option on certain subjects he's not likable??

I don't like TJ, nor do I dislike him, but the flack he is getting here is not deserved IMO. At this time of the year, the more, the merrier, so Im happy he is doing well again.

From ammattipyöräily's Twitter account:
2015 Pinot 44:38
2016 van Garderen 45:05

It was the 3rd consecutive MTF, we had really bad weather on the last 2 days and TJVG had a bad the yesterday, if you consider those aspects it was a strong performace, last year only Pinot was faster.
I only watched the final 3km or something like that on Swiss TV.
Tomorrow could be interesting, I don't know what to expect from Barguil in that ITT, maybe he'll be able to holt Talansky off by a few seconds, maybe he gets crushed, hard to say.

Kelderman just said that he'd like to win Suisse.

HE SAID IT

Oh crap.. not again. When he took yellow in Pais Vasco he said he felt REALLY STRONG and lost yellow the day after big time.

Ofcourse if he said anything else that would've been ridiculous.

Everytime when Kelderman starts talking that he feels great he's about to lose it. I was afraid this would happen.

Actually I get the feeling Kelderman is very inconsistent. Maybe he should try to hunt for stages instead. Sure he will get a nice placing in the GC, but not top 3 is also not very satisfying.
