Interesting, but organisers are moans after last years stage which was rightly called off. Now threatening to pull out, live tv coverage not allowed "for money" when really its more likely political to have time to edit pictures

Well, the stage profile looked like a poor man's hilly classics, top ten proves it. Maybe LRP has no clue how to ride these stages or maybe he's had one of those days though they usually come later and always in a GT.
you are always so gentle when talking about sky.

Unless Porte crashed there's really no excuse for this result.

I thought TLMRP was on BMC now. Doesn't matter who he rides for it seems. He's just not top shelf consistently. Occasionally yes.

“It was quite a tough stage as it was fast and quite fast. It wasn’t really unexpected that I lost time. I didn’t really come with any ambitions apart from trying to get through the race and trying to get some form out of it. It’s a great race for getting good kilometers in the legs and for me the big target next is Paris-Nice,” Porte explained.
“I’ll be taking it day by day as we said from the start.”

Looks like this one wasn't on his radar after all :(
