I'm really looking forward to see if Dumoulin can stay with the best on the wide roads of Green Mountain. Perhaps even win the stage.
Don't think so. He was not happy today. Said he started the climb in 80th position and only got back just after the top. Also said he doesn't feel good yet. But that he mainly has issues with the heat coming from the Netherlands were it is rainy and cold atm

Nice start to a nice race. I forgot to avoid cyclingnews.com website as I was looking forward to watching it without spoilers.

All the same, I am looking forward to sitting down to the highlights this evening on Eurosport. I think in previous years, we had to wait over 24 hours for footage, so this is an improvement.

The course looks good. Today's stage and tomorrow's stage look tasty. As noted in previous posts, the ascent of Green Mountain sees riders climb an additional 2.5km at around 8%. And Stage 5 is often very exciting (similar stage has been used in previous additions).

It will be interesting to see how Jungels does tomorrow and on Stage 5. I think he could have a big spring. Now is his time, he is no longer a baby and has a team begging for him to take the step into the elite level.

Eddy boss to win.
I think it's between him and GVA. If the climb is somewhat steep and/or long, then its between Martin and the 45 year old man.

Porte today kind of summed up why some people will never warm to him, sometimes he just doesn't care, bit different to Froome who won't let himself ease off without an excuse

Actually, apparently it has all started to break up into multiple groups in the run in to the climb. Presumably it's echelons. Dan Martin in the second group. Porte further back. CCC hammering it on the front. If the final climb is too tough for the likes of EBH, Rebellin should be the big favourite with Martin in the wrong group.

Impressive EBH!

Thought it might be too hard for him, but obviously not. Nice start to the season for EBH and Dimension Data.
