If Katusha are permitted to start, can we be confident that they will be allowed to finish the race? Is there any likelihood that the UCI will start the "2 riders caught,whole team out" ban mid-race?

I don't think so. It will probably take a while before they come to any decision regarding Katusha's possible ban. I'm not sure though, just my feeling.

Most of the big names are in this group. However, GC contenders Boom, Westra and Van Emden are not represent. 62 km's remain.

Cav never commits as much at intermediate sprints, we'll have to wait for the finish to see if that's really the case.
