Hope Reza is oké, doesn't look good at all.

Break is finally formed: Bakelants, Hermans, Campenaerts, Vervaeke, Gesink, Groezdev, Ludvigsson, Silin, Moser, Laengen, Mate, Felline, Dombrowski, Rolland, Fraile en Gonçalves.

Again 4 Belgians, they're doing ridiculously good this Vuelta.
Also 3 Cannondale guys

Campenaerts riding for Gesink so that leaves 3 who might try to go for the stagewin

If they make it (and that's a big if) Hermans will be the only one with a chance (a big chance though). Maybe Vervaeke has the potential, but the second part of his season has been pretty bad and it doesn't look like he has better legs this week.

Gesink has to save his season by going in the breakaway and win the stage.
Well, he listened to my advice. Now the question remains whether his shape is good enough to win. Rolland is a strong contender as well, it's very open. Something tactical might happen before the final climb.

Vervaeke was aiming exclusively for the Vuelta in the 2nd part of the season and he has been saving his legs for a stage win on a breakaway, his goal for this year.

In Tour de l'Ain he blow up the peloton to pieces in the penultimate climb on the 3rd stage and was on the break on Colombiere in the last stage.

I don't get movistar, why do you go hard on the flat to then let it go on the hill?

Boring stage till now. You always have a little bit of hope that something will happen on Fito.

But i guess i'm expecting too much. The 2014 stage was proper raced though.

Breakaway is breaking itself apart and working harder now. I think they will be tired when last climb starts and they will lose time on flat before it also. Everything is under Movistar controll at the moment.
