Well designed stage that can go both ways, a sprint or a (late) break.

Re: 2016 Vuelta a España, stage 2: Ourense > Baiona (160.8km

Normally I'd be pretty sure that this stage would go to a sprinter but since there are absolutely no good sprinters in the race I don't know if there will be enough teams who try to control everything. This vuelta is really a missed opportunity for a lot of sprinters. Especially the french guys can't all be leaders in the WC but would be favorites for every flat stage here.

You know it's bad when the best sprinter in the race according to PCS is Bala :p

Trek will chase hard because Bonifazio has a great chance of winning, or failing that Felline.

Think Arndt will win this. Giant's lead out train looks pretty respectable and he's got no problems getting over these bumps.

I know it's the first sprinters' stage, but the breakaway has a really good chance here. Sky certainly won't be complaining if a break takes the red jersey away from them, so it's up to the sprinters' teams

Talansky and Samu are as relevant as Gerrans GC wise.

How so? Both Talanksy and Sanchez are both top 10 and possible top 5 contenders for this Vuelta, in fact the only rider on that list that isn't really a GC guy is TVG as he's already said he has no interest in the GC

Gosh....... good morning!

I hope the stage will go to the break! Preferable a late one with some quality names.

There's no gun sprinters because there are few stages that suit the all out sprinter. So I guess teams figure it's a pointless pursuit so select fringe sprinters or those that can get over the hills and maybe they may have a shot.

Just because the A rated pure sprinters aren't here, in a GT with so few flat stages, why wouldn't the sprint field that is here take this?

I think a disservice is being done to the likes of Jempy Drucker, Meersman, Van De Sande, Bonifazio, Arndt, Sbaragli etc. Not to mention the Felline's, Battaglin's and Rojas' of this world.

Bonus seconds today? Intersting to see if anyone/who will chase down the breakaway. Will we see a repeat of Froome's sprinting skills? :D

Interesting betting for today's stage with the bookies going 4/1 the field - 8/1 bar two (Bonifazio/Arndt)

They have Tyler Farrar at 150/1 paying 1/4 odds the top 3. I think I might have a bit of that.

DDD will ride for Sbaragli.
