He has to separate Quintana early otherwise it won't work. Quintana's strength is his team, Froomes his endurance I think. He knows his legs are better than Quintana's unless Quintana is bluffing yesterday. If he was he bluffed too much as he later said he would only use a minute.

Do we see a return of "Froome the Descender"? Will Yates bury himself for Chaves? Froome to TT/Yo yo the final climb, if he has help (with OBE?), can be close to catching Quintana.

Going off his interview with Flecha, "I won't try anything crazy on a descent."

I'd take anything Froome said with a large pinch of salt.

He wont attack on the descent. Im sure of it. If contador does, he might follow but he wont attack.

Perhaps the most premature commentary excitement ever: Carthy moves to the front for 4 seconds with 193km to go, and Carlton is hoping he can "go the distance"

My uncle told me that Quintana will puncture before the last climb. So, there's no point in watching the stage.
GC after today's stage:
1. Sir Froome, the best GC rider of all time and the most spectacular GC rider this year;
2. Nairo, "I like to follow wheels and I will never win the tour", Quintana;
3. Alberto, the former Great One and today's "All I care is for Froome to lose", Contador.

Movistar really doesn't want any Tinkoff and Sky riders in the break.

start of the race is always 10x more fun than the middle of the race, they should start all live coverage with the first 30 minutes of the race , would improve entertainment level

They let Paulinho go earlier. They only care about Sky.

I'm impressed Carthy is going to finish. He seemed in such bad shape that I thought he'd drop out. He just isn't used to the WT pace, he's only been in a WT race once before and that was in March, since then he's been riding in lower level races. That and the fact he has no form

yeah but i think Valverde's attitude is inappropiate

it's hard to take red from Quintana so taking green from Valverde will be a good consolation prize

and everyone knows Valverde cares for top 10's and jerseys
Would kinda like to see Froome spiriting it out against Valverde in Madrid. Given the sprinting quality in this field, they might have a shot.

Actually, I don't think they mind Tinkoff. It's the Sky guys they seem to be chasing.

I thought Kirby was going to have an orgasm for a short period.

He didn't have much endurance on Aramon-Formigal.
Also, Quintana has been the best climber in the race by a decent margin.

Too many commercials.
I'm going to look for alternative broadcast to fill in the ruptures.

I'm talking about endurance, not outclimbing. Froome can't win waiting for final climb.

Well, Quintana took a decent amount of turns in the break group over 100 kilometers, while Froome was sitting in the pack. Yet Froome was the one to crack on the last climb, not Quintana.
