Gaviria in pink..
Will that be crazy? GT debut, 1st stage and gets the leader jersey? has that happened before?
If he does get it, how long will he realistically keep it for?
Hruska and Millar in 2000, the Canc in 2004, Gasparotto in 2007, Castroviejo in 2012. :)
How many of those were a TTT win?
The two most recent.

Too bad we can't see the race in North America unless we accept to pay the highway robbery fee Fubo.tv asks from cycling fans.

$17,00 for their basic package + $25,00 to get the cycling channel. I refuse to pay that much. For that price , i get Netflix, Crave and Amazon prime.

So, i will only be able to follow the race on the sites that narrates the race. And i will not use illegal ways to see the race either.

The kind of stahge i hate . The peloton toying with the break, giving yjem enough leeway for them to continue the effort, but not enough for them to realistically hve a chance to win.
And , in the end, after their teamates left their guts on the road for tehm, sprinters will give a 200 meters efforts.

Don't give ius 200 km of that. Make a kilometer race with just the sprinters. Then give everyone else the same time. And then, go for the real race, the mountain. The TT.

I'm not sure what you're looking at. It's $34.95 for the normal service + $8.99 for the cycling add-on. If you're Canadian it's supposed to be $34.95 total with cycling included but I haven't looked into that option closely.

In any case, some of us took advantage of the deal they had running a couple days ago. $5 for the normal service + $8.99 for the cycling add on. $13.99 for reliable coverage seemed worth it.

Not a tremendous help, but they do have a free one week trial. You could time it to see at least the best stages.

I am also understand from their FAQ that if you want to tape the stage, you need to do it on a DVR cloud. Have no idea what this mean. I suspect another charge there.

Edward Sels won stage 1 of the 1964 Vuelta, his first GT stage, which was a regular stage. I don't know if he is the last one to do so...

We're going WAY back here. So, this is a VERY rare occurence.

Damn I need to go to Sardinia. Beautiful scenery!

An extract poem by some born in Sardinia's Gallura's Mountains.
Maria Chessa Lai
Here Muntanya
sweet reverie in name
remains only the remembrance
of your existence of old:
The honour of your peak has eroded away
with the dust of centuries,
and rain’s sudden gusts,
day after day,
along wind’s resonant way.
Imponderable spectacle,
wonder of life
the memory dies not
and in each heart lies a place
where illusions may nest
as each moment
the earth alters her face.
(my translation)
