Racing like this after such a crash. Not my cup of tea.

The race is on. If they wait for everyone to come back they were gonna be 7-8 minutes behind the break. If not more.

You don't have to wait, but putting your entire team up front is disgusting to watch.

People complain when there's no action until the last few kms and you complain when there is some halfway into the race. It know it was due to a crash but still..

Well, can't please everyone. I assume people complaining about one thing are different to the other.

They were 6 minutes behind the break...

It's now 3mins with just under 100km to go. :p I don't think they can use the break as an excuse for hammering it that hard.

100k to go... they've taken back 3min in 10min so this is not an excuse

Peloton 2 is 3.50 behind now with 95k to go. The break is no issue.

Peloton 2 has to spend energy to come back to the other group... which is pretty much the point.

Yes, that is pretty much my point. They try to distance riders, or at least make them work very hard, who were involved in a crash that made up 2/3rd of the peloton. Has nothing to do with the break, as you suggested.

Yea that's the entire point. It's just a lame move when there's no valid excuse like riders being dropped normally or close to the finish or being on a important part of the course or the break is to far etc. It's solely to screw people over.
