He killed himself with that unnecessary big effort trying to bridge. At a time when he had an ally in Benoot, who was working well with him to bring down the gap.

I'm struggling to think of another rider who so consistently makes bad tactical decisions.

the BMC duo should probably start working in G3 if they really want to win but I suspect the DS will tell them no to because of GVA. I can't see how GVA wins this though since Gilbert has a free ride so they need G3 to come back if they really want the win I think?
