I'm thinking some of you may be underestimating Marc Soler. He's still right there and he's a good climber. He doesn't have much of a sprint.
However, I'm in the Sanchez is the favorite camp.

Dare I dream that one of the Izagirre brothers will walk away with this?

It really is wide open.

Rudy Molard. Would have never picked that
Yep, that was some dash for the line - chapeau!

he comes from Antibes, only ~20km away, and did multiple recons of the finish. That probably was of quite a bit of help today to manage his efforts

Contador must currently be thinking, why didn't everyone perform so poorly when I was still riding?
The names in the top ten of the gc are all well known ones, but hardly any of them are even gc specialist.

It remains to be confirmed but EUSP France told that tomorrow's stage might be shortened due to weather.

They expect minus 2 at least up there.

But I hope they overreact a bit and that we will have a proper queen stage!

UAE not having the best time. Apparently the whole team is sick apart from Martin, whose wheel broke with 5 km to go.

I think the climbers will want a hard climb. Chaves and Yates will go simultaneously, Henao too. If they break the front group there could be serious losses. Sanchez, Wellens and even Alaphilippe could lose time. Fuglsang will be very important for Luisle tomorrow, he could save him. And Soler could profit from hard climb tomorrow, non-climbers will drop and he could hang on with the best.

Part of the breakaway formed by accident. De Gendt was in the back of the peloton (as usual when he's not pulling), and he and a couple of others noticed the bunch had taken a wrong turn, so they turned back immediately and were able to join the small group that had already gone clear.

Marc Soler is a well known rider? Granted those of us who are fans of Movistar know who he is. He has the potential to become a top GC rider for both one week races and grand tours, but he still needs more experience.

Last year, Wellens spent several weekstraining on todays climb, up to three times per day, during his altitude camp. On top of that, it's raining. It's only a matter of how many minutes advantage now.

Wellens has never performed on a 20+ minute climb. I would be really surprised if he battles for the win today.
