Secretly hoping Soler fails in this attempt because he did naught in the break with Berto and De la Cruz last year.

He was the one who attacked this time.

Life continues ;)

I'm still bitter and it'll take a while for me to cheer for him ;) but at least he's more likeable to me than Roman Kreuziger.

Albeit his pacing climbing style, Soler has been an offensive rider in all his career.

Not sure where the hate is coming around. Last years fault is of Bahrein leading the peloton for Colbrelli.

In fact, i'm sure Contador would be rooting for Soler right now and nodding at his range attacking.

Is that Bahrain beast with the Izagirre bros, Antonio Nibali?
He's becoming a really good rider. More than worthy of his WT contract.

Yeah, I mean it's not like last year Soler didn't chase for no reason. He wanted to win the stage and knew that Contador's work would be enough to keep the chasers away. In that case it would be a tactical mistake to help

No hate here, but Berto in a post-race interview actually seemed very annoyed by Soler's strange tactics during that stage, always either off the front or off the back and never actually working with him and De la Cruz. Of course, I've no good words for Bahrain's tactics on that stage either. ;)

He did himself no favors by constantly either attacking or getting dropped. Just wheelsucking would have given him a better chance at the win and probably would have been less of a nuisance to Contador and De la Cruz.
Anyway, this is all off-topic and I can't believe people got so worked up about a semi-joking post

So, Soler's chances? Easy to lose 30 seconds of course, but I think maybe 1/3 he can hold.

I'm wondering what Bahrain will do if/when the Izagirres can't get rid of Yates. Will they still do pulls to secure their 2 podium places? Or will they let Michelton do all the work?

Antonio Nibali, beast in bad weather. Who'd have thought.

Apples don't fall that far from each other
