Fairly awful cobble season so far with only Moscon being half-decent, and this should be his best race. Van Baarle looked good at Flanders and Stannard at least showed his face a couple of times there. Maybe the Welsh trio of Doull, Rowe and Thomas will make a difference. It's a shame Thomas didn't do E3 as planned to give an indication of form

I woke up excited to see rain outside the window 90 minutes ago in Champhin-en-Pevele. It's already drying up though, and it is cloudy still but sun is forecast for the rest of the day, so it doesn't look like the wet will play a factor.
