If the chasing group catches Sagan's group, Phinney will attack and the favs will have to decide who is willing to chase.

I thing they will be satisfied with podium. Its obvious Sagan is waiting in them on cobbles. He will attack in the last sectors

I don't think there's any way they can win by attacking - no way they have the legs for that. I think the only way would be to completely stop working at some point and hope to beat a tired Sagan in the sprint.

At this point even if Terpstra can catch up to Sagan, how can he drop him before the velodrome?

As it stands, they podium, which is huge. Attacks in the last 2k ftw seems to be the option. Still, it's looking good for Sagan now.
