I think he wants to secure the podium. Even if he stops pulling he's not winning this barring a crash or mechanical from Sagan.

Why? If he makes it to the sprint he definitely has a chance. No way Sagan doesn't drop him before then though.

You never know - Sagan has been known to underestimate his opponents in sprints before...

I agree. But I think this season is teaching a lesson that the cycling world hasn't had in a long time. Riding against a deeply top-heavy field requires different tactics. It now pays to go early, because the favorites weigh themselves down. Sagan may have figured out or lucked into it, but this is likely the style of racing next year if everyone's form (and team) is the same

Quickstep have messed up big time here. Perhaps started to believe their own hype. Terpstra is so strong but has been let down by tactics today.

There is no way left for Dillier to beat Sagan (not since Jelle got left behind). He is absolutely right to keep working in tandem and keeping together, 'cause pavé can still beat Sagan though. As long as Roubaix gets closer and it stays together, he is but a puncture away.

You would think he'll be cooked by the time they hit the Velodrome but in saying that I didn't think Hayman would of beaten Boonen in a sprint.
