Lost images. See, this is the problem with a wet weather race in the middle of the countryside.

Bunch is back together. 8 rider breakaway has 6 minutes. So it calmed down.
To give EBH 6 minutes in this weather in this route is not probably the best strategy. :)
I was just wondering the other day when looking for possible wild card riders, what's the deal with him. He DNF both Omloop an K-B-K. Who knows in what sort of form he might be.
Pneumonia in late december and gallbladder removed in january.

You see, outside of holland there's these things called hills, that interfere with the transmission signal out in the middle of BF nowhere.

Uhm yeah, wtf has that to do with anything. Whether it's MSR, TA, Giro, Strade or Lombardy, the coverage is always horrible. Only in Italy..

Ah, that is why coverage in France or the US for example is always top notch

there are even countries who got mountains, where races happen in july without constant break ups of the live feeds.

Choppers can fly in July weather, though. Big difference. In France with this weather they just cancel the races.

Because coverage, of any kind, is worse the fewer people live there as the infrastructure for obvious reasons is worse. That's why a race in the po valley would have great coverage, and in the middle *** nowhere it wouldn't.

Also hills.

LOL and there is another mountainous country called Switzerland where they have the radio broadcasting, mobile signal even in tunnels.

I honestly cannot remember the last time there was this type of weather in any french race. The Giro mountain coverage is always fine as well until the wetaher turns apocalyptic. I guess that cobbled stage, but that area of france is both densely populated and flat

Like I said, in France this would never happen. Even when it's 30 degrees outside Italian TV will find a way to f*ck up the entire coverage

Paris-Nice 2 years ago. Stage was cancelled.
Last year they had bad weather in the first couple days but better than this and in flat terrain.

As if the coverage was good when the weather was ok

I thought the signal gets transmitted motorbike - helicopter - airplane and the infrastructure on the ground has little to do with loss of coverage (unless there are tunnels)

It's called a hyperbole...

But in MSR it happened multiple times that coverage was awful and the weather was decent. Such amateurism is laughable - even for a country that loves people like Berlusconi

I don't know, that could be the case, I assumed that they would play a part. Maybe not. Anyway, helicopters won't fly today.

So we have no images. Too bad. It's 2018 and we still have no solution for this. Kinda makes you wonder.

It's not that there isn't a solution, they just choose not to do it.
