So we have no images. Too bad. It's 2018 and we still have no solution for this. Kinda makes you wonder.

It's not that there isn't a solution, they just choose not to do it.
Or couldn't afford to do it.

Ok, so i was wrong and ground infrastructure doesn't matter.

But hills and bad weather are a terrible mix to broadcast cycling races

Confirmed out of the first 10, Valentin Madouas (Groupama-FDJ), Sepp Kuss (Team LottoNL - Jumbo), Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data), Mark Padun (Bahrain Merida Pro Cycling Team), Victor Campenaerts (Lotto Soudal). Then a group of 60 led by Sky not that far behind. Then what's left at 5 minutes.

Latour and Jauregui (both AG2R) both also being reported as part of the group, though I suspect it is one or other of them (more likely QJ)

Both of them are in the break, I posted a picture earlier.

But in MSR it happened multiple times that coverage was awful and the weather was decent. Such amateurism is laughable - even for a country that loves people like Berlusconi
you're exaggerating and you're talking about things you do not know. even here in Italy we hate rai, there is no need to insult the whole country for this.

sagan where he needs to be, and has a team mate with him, what a change this year.

And where is that exactly?Head of the peloton/main chase group?

With no live coverage or updates, I have no clue where that snapshot is from. Could be off the back for all I know.

well, of course you can't know for sure, but you don't have to be exactly Sherlock Holmer to reasonably guess its front of the peloton, as sky is also there, an in live text updates they're saying sky leads the peloton.

LBL last year: sleet, snow, rain, clouds, hills - no broadcast problems.
RAI is simply unprepared.

RAI is simply unprepared.

Why do they even host cycling races, they clearly don't give a rat's ass about the quality of their coverage.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but there is only one Sky rider there, not a bunch of them. And no sign of Kwiatkowski, who of course could just be out of shot.

What more exactly do you think they should have done? And how much would that cost?

No need to act like spoilt children just because the coverage has gone down. These things happen.

#StradeBianche We’re into the final 75km of racing and the break are at 1:25” ahead of a chasing peloton reduced to around 30riders. We have Rob Power in there. An earlier crash forced @luke_durbridge1 out of the race, he is ok, but will play no further part today.
