I agree, but Nibali struggles on really steep, short hills. He's been good here, though, apart from the paterberg.

You can see already he can't follow the power attacks. It is only a matter of time when one those attacks like GVA will make the final split and I'm quite sure Nibs won't unfortunately make it. Anyhow the TOP 20 that seems coming would be fantastic for him.

The power data from van Avermaet's SRM said he sustained ~525 watts for 1:20 on his previous hill attack when he was leading up the group. That level of effort started to put some guys in difficulty
