We do know, you are just not accepting what we saw and he said himself. The problem is we dont know, as we keep seeing the pattern of not even trying.
If Remco tried, they could have helped each other after Redoute. Not saying they would have chased down Pog or Seixas.skjelmose buried his own podium spot there
You seem wildly confident about something you couldn't possibly know for sure. The problem is we dont know, as we keep seeing the pattern of not even trying.
I know what I saw.We do know, you are just not accepting what we saw and he said himself.
No, but I believe in my perspective. You seem wildly confident about something you couldn't possibly know for sure.
Nobody is saying he would have been able to follow. It's like saying MVP could follow Pogacar in 2024 because he had something left in the tank and won the sprint for 3rd place.
Remco with good legs drops anyond in that group in cote des forges.
But in what world do you live? If he really tried to follow them, he would explode and not finish inside the top10. If I wanted to do a PB in a marathon, I would not follow those kenian runners in the beginning because I would be dead after 10 minutes. Pogacar is 2 steps above Evenepoel, he just need to accept he is not close to him and ride for the best result possible.Nobody is saying is he would have been able to follow.
It is about trying.
Remco still had no problem to pull the group, chase down Skjelmose with an attack and still beat everyone comfortably in the sprint despite opening it from a long distance. Nobody getting close to overtaking him.
I dont see how he could not have tried on Redoute to at least put up a fight. Whether he gets dropped or not is really besides the point.
I dont think so and I wouldnt trust your perspective as the race was over with 200km according to you.But in what world do you live? Seixas did it, no?In this day and age that sort of "trying" just isn't going to happen. They know their numbers, they know if they go into the red they'll simply blow up. What would the point have been? Go all out to hang on for 30 seconds and then
Remco with good legs likely crest Redout with Skjelmose and either still finishes third or is able to capitalise on Seixas blowing up catches him for 2nd. The question to me is why he was so bad on Redoute. Did he spent too much in the brake? Just a bad day? Does he suffers head to head with Pogacar? It's like saying MVP could follow Pogacar in 2024 because he had something left in the tank and won the sprint for 3rd place.
Remco with good legs drops anyone in that group in cote des forges.
For me, there are some reasons:Remco with good legs likely crest Redout with Skjelmose and either still finishes third or is able to capitalise on Seixas blowing up catches him for 2nd. The question to me is why he was so bad on Redoute. Did he spent too much in the brake? Just a bad day? Does he suffers head to head with Pogacar?
Max Van Poppel? It's like saying MVP could follow Pogacar in 2024 because he had something left in the tank and won the sprint for 3rd place.

This excuses thing with Remco is just getting silly now. How is it an excuse? He's basically saying he just wasn't strong enough to follow and if he'd tried he would have gone into the red too much and blown up. How's that an "excuse"? It's just reality.Sounds like excuses to me.
Seixas didn't get dropped until he did. When he did get dropped he probably in all likelihood have dug even deeper to stay on the wheel for 30 seconds or whatever and then sink like a stone. But what's the point?Seixas did it, no?
Whether Remco gets dropped or not. He still riding Redoute faster than a majority of those other riders, especially if digging deep. There is still time in descents and flat to recover. He could have worked with someone like Skjelmose.
Maybe trying doesnt change the outcome, but I would at least liked to have seen it. What does he have to lose? It more feels like it is the optical illusion that matters here.
Point is trying.Seixas didn't get dropped until he did. When he did get dropped he probably in all likelihood have dug even deeper to stay on the wheel for 30 seconds or whatever and then sink like a stone. But what's the point?
From what I saw, he was stronger than how he performed on Redoute. This excuses thing with Remco is just getting silly now. How is it an excuse? He's basically saying he just wasn't strong enough to follow and if he'd tried he would have gone into the red too much and blown up. How's that an "excuse"? It's just reality.
Why didn't the rest of the peloton try? You think as professional cyclists they couldn't have put in an effort to hang on for a while?Point is trying.
Most of them did and looked spent in the end. Not Remco, to me.Why didn't the rest of the peloton try? You think as professional cyclists they couldn't have put in an effort to hang on for a while?
