How on earth is it possible to live in flanderes and not notice that the ronde is taking place. What did the guy in the opel think? "All those guys standing on the side of the road are surely waiting for me"?

A 40y old Leif Hoste was one of the pre race favorites so it was definitely fiction

The toughest part of the race is from the second Kwaremont to the Taaienberg, but tactically the easier part immediately after that will be very important.
