If Roglic can hold this form, he is unbeatable. But the same was true of Yates last year. With a hard third week anything is still possible.

Roglic and Nibali already seems to be in great form. But they don’t have that many opportunities to gain a lot of time, except for today during first week

Will their form last over 3 weeks? Or can they be solid enough to still not be dropped later in the race?

It will be an interesting Giro

A good thing is that Rogla and Jumbo haven't shown Ineos characteristics so far, so the field won't be completely discouraged.

They will probably have the jersey for awhile now, unless they let the break go

Means a lot of work for the team.

Not to mention all the outside of the race shenagians with press, ceremonies etc every day

Yes, that's an element more to count in.
They'll probably try to give the jersey away at some point, but the rest of the teams might just help them keep it.

I'm not worried about his ride.
Not the quickest, but not bad uphill either. He won't have to sit for hours waiting for the ceremony.

This TT feels weird. We are almost done now.

Good timing to be heading to work in 20 minutes I guess, but when all the stars goes first, you just sit here with a bit of a whacky feel..

De Plus very decent, only 7 seconds slower than Dumoulin.

I think dumoulin was too conservative on the flat, he was slower than MAL there and almost ten seconds behind Roglic. Paced himself badly, but seemed to climb at the level of nibali and lopez, although best to wait until the proper times come about to be sure.

Ineos could be an important part of this race. Tao is clearly very good, sivakov a bit less good but both could be in the top 10 and will hopefully be aggressive in the big stages. Caruso way better than expected whicch is a good sign for nibali.

Sivakov should be even better in theory. Which will mean Ineos riding for GC for two weeks at least.

Tao was quite clearly stronger than sivakov in the tour of the alps, I expect that trend to continue today if not perhaps into the last week.
