+ Polanc is a better climber and could potentially sneak a half decent GC. He was 11th in 2017

Yates is now about 8 virtual minutes down and no men in the break. Wouldn't it be wise for MS to work a bit?
Probably too busy eating pringles for backstage pass to think about it.

Errrm, Yeh well, errrmmm, I can only, errmmmm, say 3 words errmmmm at once so, errrmmmm

Nice tactics by UAE. Let's see when Jumbo will hit the front.

UAE team change the leader of the race - Conti to Polanc ;)
Beautiful race of the team.
If the stage was over now Roglic was virtually 5m from Polanc, it could be dangerous ...

Polanc was 11th in the 2017 Giro, but didn't finish top 10 in any mountain stage after winning Etna from a breakaway. Basically shipping minutes left right and centre but he got 5 minutes in a breakaway stage that Rolland won.

Ten minutes now.

I think it's dangerous for Roglic, 6m is virtually difficult to take on Polanc. UAE to give everything to keep the maglia rosa
I think you overestimate Polanc a bit... Trek, MTS and Bahrein will also want to catch him, because he's more a danger for their podium. Roglic should still be quite comfortable giving Polanc a 5-6 minute advantage with all that climbing coming.
