Watching Dunbar I'm always scared he will get sunburnt. Maybe the only cyclist without tan lines.
PS: Also those are some big leg veins. :)

Roglic said he didn't felt good on Montoso
Why would he say that if it was true?
No idea honestly, but he said it, so...

Where did you see him say this? It would be a very silly thing to say if true. They'll all attack him like mad tomorrow!
He said to the RAI reporter he didn't feel the best but it was an OK day for him. When he was asked about his team today he didn't want to discuss. He replayed it was a good day for him. Also he didn't feel pressured by the attack of Landa and MAL. He was calm about it.

Disappointed in Jungels and Formolo here.. Yikes

Zakarin not much better.

Thats unfair. Jungels and Formolo lost minutes and were dropped.

Zakarin looked good on Montoso. Then punctured, but was able to come back with help from Haller.

Lost a couple of seconds on the last descent, so was 6 seconds behind Roglic and them at the finish. If he loses minutes tomorrow though you can come back with that post :) .

Thanks, that sounds like a far cry from : Roglic said he didn't felt good on Montoso

Roglic is 4’07” behind the pink jersey. Ignoring those unlikely to finish in the Top 10, here are the gaps:

Nibali @ 1’44
Mollema @ 1’55”
Majka @2’53”
Carapaz @3’16”
Carthy @ 3’25”
Zakarin @ 3’38”
Yates @ 3’46”
Lopez @ 4’01”
Kangert @ 4’01”
Sivakov @ 4’11”
Landa @ 4’24”
Chaves @ 4’30”
Jungels @ 4’52”
Formolo @ 5’26”
Oomen @ 5’46”

Oomen is certainly more unlikely to finish in the top10 than Polanc for example.

I'm still surprised how quickly the Jumbo Visma guys fell off basically at the early slopes.
Exactly as expected for me.
If Pozzo doesn't step up Nibbles is in trouble as well.

Yeah Astana, Movistar and Michelton all with numbers in the end. Especially Chavez looked really good, it's good to see him back in some form.

The loss of Gesink and De Plus is huge ofcourse, there is no replacement except Crushweak, but that was no option.

Good that his team is weak. This helps to setup the attacks from the others but gaining 6 mins over Roglic might be very difficult unless he cracks or is absolutely isolated

I agree except 6 mins? Who are you referring to?

Nibali is at +1'44" to Roglic.
Zakarin +3'38"
Yates +3'46"
Lopez +4'01"

Are you saying Roglic can gain a further 2 minutes (7 seconds per km) in the final TT?

Some spectator tried to grab a bottle right from Marco Haller's mouth as he was riding after the finish. Great reaction from Haller

Sometimes I wonder why people like that even go to watch cycling races. Sadly they are part of the sport but in this case Haller gave it back to the arrogant clown with interest. Good for Haller :D

yeah, the last time they did this Verona time trial (a bit shorter, but anyway) 105 riders finished within 2 minutes to the winner, and Nibali came 5th. So it'll probably be more like a minute between Roglic and someone like Landa or Lopez, if at all. Less for Nibali

Probably won't be as much in the final itt, but in the previous ITT, Lopez lost 6.5 seconds per km.

Chapeau Benedetti & Polanc! Bora & UAE having a good Giro so far. Astana & Movistar forming an alliance would certainly make interesting viewing - they really have no other option then attack, attack, attack.

Roglic was not surprisingly on his own, but after just one 9 km climb? He's in for a lonely time in the mountains.

Gaps are smaller in ITTs that have descents in them.

Just finished watching a replay of today's stage. I've seen Roglic isolated but not weak. He can sit comfortably in the group as long as he has the legs to follow wheels and Mollema or Majka are willing to chase other climbers attacks.

Haller just became my all time favored rider! :D

He sounds like The Hound.

It's just barely getting started. We'll see who can sit in and follow wheels the next few days.
