So... UK jersey stays in the Swift family. However, this time it was the big cousin.

50 km to go in Ireland. Dunbar, Dowling, Bennett still have 1:15 on the first chase group. There was a flurry of riders trying to make it across to the chase as it becomes clear that the peloton isn’t going to get back. Chase currently of six with one more a few seconds behind. If the lead trio work together they won’t be caught, but it seems likely that Dunbar and Dowling will try to work Bennett over.

Nothing dramatic, but controlling tempo's on.

I think they are taking out everyone who is further than 2 minutes behind after every lap for some reason.

Obviously a huge long shot for the break in Belgium yet (91km to go, 2 minutes ahead) but it looks like the peloton has to work quite a bit to keep the gap constant.

Dowling getting dropped may make it a bit harder for Dunbar to get away from Bennett.

12 km to go. The lead duo’s gap is growing. It’s an uphill finish, but it doesn’t look hard enough to give Dunbar a chance in a sprint. He’s guaranteed the U23 win and silver unless he falls off but surely he will attack to try for the elite win.

(Edited: it seems he isn’t eligible for the U23 competition despite being U23)

Yes, Politt and Zimmermann chasing, but already more than 30s behind.

Ireland, inside 3km. Dunbar and Bennett will contest the win. They’ve been attacking each other but so far to no avail. The chase group caught Dowling but then there was a crash in the group. Mullen a few seconds clear of its remnants.
