Something strange happened. Boasson Hagen did NOT win the Norwegian TT. Instead, Andreas Leknessund won the jersey. He is 20 and had a pretty good year so far.

Leknessund is also a pretty good climber. Reminds me a bit of the young EBH, who dominated the U23 races on every terrain.

Route was 50km and winning time was 59:36. So slightly above 50km\h.

The impression i had from watching some U23 races, is that Leknessund is a bit of a Dumoulin type of rider. I think he's fairly tall (though i can't find actual data for that), a timetrialer foremost, that can powerclimb uphill.

Not plain flat and a bit hilly, but still rather fast.

I'm happy for Ganna, he has a history of underperforming in TTs in extreme heat and they had to deal with almost 40°C, so him winning wasn't a given. This is probably the most solid top 5 in an Italian NC ITT in recent history.

Ganna himself has said that he really suffered in the heat and didn't perform at his best. He has a history of underperforming in the heat, for example in the same TT 2 years ago, so I believe him.
Bettiol has to be onrle of the big favourites for the RR alongside Trentin and Colbrelli. Other favourites are Vendrame, Ulissi, Visconti & Velasco and Ballerini.

No, average speed is generated automatically. They have the wrong distance set for this race (40k instead of 50k). Which in turn also messes up the average speed.
