Van Aert is probably the favourite for the Tour TT now. What a shame he doesn't go to the Worlds could win medals in every race.
Evenepoel showing that he can already be top10 in Worlds eliteTT

1. Wout van Aert
2. Yves Lampaert +31
3. Remco Evenepoel +38
4. Campenaerts +1'04

Dominance by WVA, impressive by Remco too. Campenaerts had a long and demanding buildup towards his WUR, so we should understand his shape is fading badly.

Asgreen wins in Denmark.

And Norman won the women's race, ahead of Mathiesen and Holm, who - afaik - is not related to Brian.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but while you (obviously) can't wear the jersey if you start for another country, you can wear it if you start for another age-group (as in, too old for you), right? Because, unlike what PCS would have people believe the Danish men's junior race was not in fact won by Joshua Gudnitz, but by Gustav Wang who, at 16 (born in 2003) is not actually a Junior rider yet.

Not surprising. He's gonna get even better (stronger) the next 4 years

It's not unsurprising either...... he beat the 3rd and 4th best - all time - on the hour record, in todays TT (Bjerg actually only got 5th).

Plenty of tempo talent in Denmark, for the WT teams out there looking for the next Asgreen

Bjerg didn't even win the U23 national championship against a guy that was even a year younger. He hasn't won an ITT all year. Evenepoel also finished half a minute ahead of the worldhourrecordholder. It doesn't necessarilly translate to an ITT on the road. To me, Asgreen was the biggest favorite. Certainly not the only one, but the main one.

In Ireland, Mullen won again. Dunbar second. A domestic amateur, Craig McAuley, put in a great ride to get third. No times available yet. I’ve no idea who gets the U23 prize. The rules are a bit weird (one year Mullen put in the fastest time but was only given the U23 win ). I would guess that Dunbar wasn’t entered into the U23 competition despite being eligible.

Wiggins went 1-2 in the U23 ITT with Michael O'Loughlin and Ben Healy

Bjerg was sick just prior to the U23 time trial.

I just realised, I don't know if national TT champions, get to wear their champions jersey in TTTs (i.e. stage 2 of the tour), or if it is only for individual TTs?
According to the last year's Tour, team jersey's in the ttt.

Something strange happened. Boasson Hagen did NOT win the Norwegian TT. Instead, Andreas Leknessund won the jersey. He is 20 and had a pretty good year so far.

Mullen has an interesting story. The airlines lost his bike and he had to get an other bike to be able to compete as he never got his primary bike back.

Also Alex Dowsett won the Brittish ITT.

Leknessund is also a pretty good climber. Reminds me a bit of the young EBH, who dominated the U23 races on every terrain.

Were there any special weather conditions in Norway. Only one rider was able to beat 40 km/h and the course looks like you can go a lot faster -> https://www.la-flamme-rouge.eu/maps/viewtrack/279687
