Will Formolo ride the Vuelta? Presumably he’ll do the autumn classics in Italy, but is the World’s course hard enough to bring him?

Formolo was a beast today, almost caught with 20 km to go, kept pushing and distanced the group with Pozzovivo/Visconti again. Never seen again. Aru looked good too.

The Italian RR was decidedly strange - Peleton got Formolo back to 7 seconds with 20kms and then sat up giving an extra thirty seconds and no-one attacked from the peleton.

Maybe too easy. But I would definitely bring him.

There is no reason not to bring him. He's getting better and better as a one day racer, and he's worked on his explosiveness too.

Evenepoel, Wallays & De Bondt have now been in the attack for 120 km (Belgium obv).
45 seconds with 25k to go.

De Bondt and Wallays didn't appreciate it.

I think it also had something to do, because he attacked in the supply zone.

Also czech champion is Sisr. Kinda strange dynamics in this merged race.
