Remarkable statistic:

Yellow jersey - Bernal: no stage win, not even top 3 in a stage win (besides the TTT)
White jersey - Bernal: see yellow

He finished a stage first and recorded the shortest time on that stage: rather graceless of ASO not to record it as a stage win.
It wasn't a stage. It was 70% of a stage.

Wathcing Bernal and Richeze talking, Bernal must be thinking one of his Dad's mates has turned up

Baloney! Everyone else would have ridden very differently had they known that was the stage finish. No stage rankings was the proper decision for a neutralized stage.

Stage will be neutralized because someone spilled a cup of soda on the road.

Well the main goal of this stage is to have a long parade with a little sprint action in the last 3km.

It's not really a 3 week race then in my opinion, if one stage is not raced. It's a 20 day race.

But it wasn't a neutralised stage: it was the one that decided the race.

Not according to ASO and their opinion trumps yours, it's their race.

Yes it Awarded a winner and we'll Never Known if he'd have won on the road, because he didn't have to.
