Rui Costa , Simon Spilak & Roman Kreuziger always go well at Tour de Suisse

Tomorrows stage looks strange ...climb very steep but far from finish ?

Kreuziger? Sure, he won it 11 years ago, but he is a different rider now (and hasn't finished the race in five years).

Costa? He is already nine minutes down on GC.

Looking at the list of participants, the GC battle seems very underwhelming. Besides those already mentioned (Bernal, Mas, Spilak, Pozzovivo) I think Fabio Aru has a shot at the podium. Maybe Patrick Konrad, Betancur, Soler, Anacona, Hirt, Frank, Carthy or, hell, even Asgreen, Dennis or Craddock can challenge for the top 5. Benoot?

Circling back, you may actually be right that Kreuziger might as well belong to that list.

You forgot Kelderman

Konrad going for bonus seconds today and taking them from Sagan was telling

You're absolutely right.

I think Sagan was going for points more than bonus seconds but it was a bit strange how they didn't really know who should get second.

The climb up to Sattel which is long but not steep, then it's 34 km to the finish.

Today is going to be a bunch sprint again it seems :)
No way they catch Mohoric and Küng

3 guys out in front for 175 k, is not a 40 k TT.... they are going to get tired at some point ;)

Add to that, that Bora, Sunweb, Mitchelton and Trek all have an interest in using the long climb, to drop the heavier sprinters, or at least put them into the red.

So I think the peloton will hold the break at between 3 and 4 minutes until the climb, and then drop the hammer, with them having no more than a minute at the top, with 30 k to go, at which point they are doomed.

The last stage of the Tour de Suisse cannot be completed on Sunday as planned over the Furka, Susten and Grimsel passes. For safety reasons, the authorities have not yet released the Susten Pass for the crossing again after the long winter, so the planned Alpine Circuit will fall into the water.

Replacement programme still open
Where the route of the actual royal stage, originally with start and finish in Ulrichen in Upper Valais, takes place, is currently still open. The day before, the second individual time trial of the round trip will take place in Goms. The organisers of the Tour de Suisse have announced information for Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday, the Tour de Suisse will take the 5th stage from Arlesheim in Canton Baselland to Einsiedeln in Canton Schwyz.
