I think if Sagan, Gva and Alaf had the legs they would have gone with trentin and vdp...so it's probably over.

Less than a minute. One big attack uphill and guys like MM, JA, GvA and Hirschi will be enough to close that.
No way. If they could've caught them they would've gone with them. It's not like they're waiting for the right time to bridge. The only rider who I've seen close this big of a gap at the end of a big classic is in the front group.

I dunno, Trentin beat MvdP in a rainy Euros last year, so Moscon should bring him to the finish with a smaller group rather than let Sagan/Matthews/Kristoff etc rejoin
I doubt peloton has any chance to come back. This looks like the move and italy has numbers. Don't bet on the sprint if you can avoid it.

Edit: of course Moscon drops as I'm typing...
