I heard there's a bee in New Zeeland that gives you high-like dizziness when bite.

Well done.
Hornets they really are.

He was closing in fast, had dropped Moscon, was only 10 meters or so behind Bennett... my guess was he came back too fast and needed to catch a breath.

I think so too, but why not just go with Bennett in the first place? Considering how he fared near the top, it seems like he could have done so.

to be honest i think he lost a little bit of confidence and 'racing sense' over not being in competition for so long.

That may sound weird, but he races all year all the time. I don't think he ever did this long without a race. Just seems to need more races to get his sharpness back.

He was sitting maybe a few wheels too far back when Bennett went hard but I'm not sure he could have. Maybe if he had been right on his wheel.

Bennett was the strongest on the climb, but he also got a lot of help by the motobikes afterwards...

When the cobbled classixcs come along he'll be sharp again and all the other contenders will be a bit fatigued/have the Tour in their legs, I expect him to end the season on a high note...
