to be honest i think he lost a little bit of confidence and 'racing sense' over not being in competition for so long.

That may sound weird, but he races all year all the time. I don't think he ever did this long without a race. Just seems to need more races to get his sharpness back.

Nah, Mathieu is a natural born racer, can't believe that's an issue. Agree that he just needs some more races to get there.

Perfect attack from Bennett. Knew exactly where he had to go if a climber was to beat the puncheurs here, and he pulled it off to perfection! Especially good as Ulissi in particular is in fine form at the moment too and it could have gone either way today.
