They all feel so long ago... probably Dauphiné, because that was seemingly the only time all Tour GC contenders got together while healthy

GT of the year?
TdF. Usually it's a big disappointment, but this year with all the Covid-*** a GT happening at all made it very special

When racing resumed after the lockdown and realizing that cycling was back

Giro Stelvio stage or the one Hirschi won (TdF Stage 12)

WTF moment of the year?
Duck jersey

Best classic rider of the year?
Alaphilippe, he was up there in all of them and with a bit more luck/a few less dumb moves he could have won WC, MSR, LBL and RVV in one season

Nibali either getting his preparation wrong or just getting old...

Rider of the year?
Roglic - podiuming back-to-back GT-s (and winning one of those) with a monument win in between - it's not really close even if performances on the road and not only results are taken into consideration.

One day race of the year?
Strade Bianche

Stage race of the year?
Criterium du Dauphine - although a preparation race, it had super strong field and actually more twists and drama than the Tour itself

GT of the year?
Tour de France - it had its disappointments, but I missed too much of the Giro due to work to properly rate it and the Vuelta just was no more than average.

Your favourite moment of the year?
When Hirschi finally got his stage win at the Tour

Stage of the year?
Stage 20 of the Tour

WTF moment of the year?
When one realised that the Giro is between Kelderman, Hindley and Hart

Best climber of the year?
Carapaz - none really stood out for being head and shoulders above others, but he was battling for polka dot jersey at the Tour after being a last minute emergency call-up with no targeted preparation and repeatedly put Roglic in trouble in the Vuelta mountains.

Best TTer of the year?
Ganna - most dominant TT-er since Cancellaras peak years

Best sprinter of the year?
Démare - most consistently victorious in every level of races he participated, even if there were some whose top speed is faster

Best classic rider of the year?
Wout van Aert

Your disappointment of the year?
Quintana's crashes - we never really got to see if the impressive early season was just a matter of circumstances or is he actually gotten over the malaise of later Movistar years

Your surprise rider of the year?
Wout van Aert - for coming back from his injury the way he did and combining such wideranging abilities at the level he did

Most aggressive rider of the year?
Mathieu van der Poel - the finale of G-W was an exception, after he rode back to form he was the most consistent source of aggression and entertainment in majority of races he entered

Best domestique of the year?
Sepp Kuss - although often used more as a decoy than a domestique, him saving the Vuelta for Roglic on Angliru tilted this category in his favour. Honourable mention to Dennis for his performance in the last week of the Giro.

Best win of the year?
Roglic beating an already celebrating Alaphilippe to the line in LBL

Best team of the year?
Jumbo-Visma - the dominant force of the season. Their train of yellow shirts is an enduring image from this season

Most iconic moment of the year?
The finish of RVV - an era defining picture of two of the greatest cobbled classics riders of the generation separated by a margin barely visible and behind them empty road.

Richard Carapaz. He looked to be in the best form in the mountains over the course of the season.

Best sprinter of the year?
Sam Bennett. Overcoming the obstacles and mountains in TDF to finally win the Green Jersey from Sagan.

Benoit Cosnefroy

Your disappointment of the year?
No Paris-Roubaix.

Marc Hirschi.

Most aggressive rider of the year?

Ineos Grenadiers. Tour was obviously a let down, but Giro win was so good after they lost Thomas. A real team effort.
