Great sprint from Nizzolo and well deserved. Gaviria just about gave him the lead-out he needed when it looked like the others weren’t going to catch Affini

Good to see Nizzolo win. Gaviria seems like a shell of himself. Viviani was nowhere.

Sooo, Sagan has a 9 point lead over Nizzolo who hasn't been climbing that well this race and 23/25 over Cimolai, Gaviria. Is it over?

I love the reaction of Walscheid just before the finish line realising Nizzolo wins. Well deserved for the whole team and of course Jack himself, easy to see the importance. Sports moment with story at its best.

Would have been funny if Affini had actually done a Kluge with Nizzolo in second again but happy to see him get this win at long last.

Very nice pictures, yes. I also liked that Nizzolo didn't start celebrating until he crossed the line, shows that he was focused on what's most important.

Must give him some more confidence. There is a chance of a double up (stage 15) and even 3 wins. (Not sure if stage 18 is too hard for Nizzolo, looks more like a Sagan-stage)

Would've been nice for Affini as well.

But that probably was the strongest sprint of Nizzolo's entire career. It couldn't have been further away from the "everlasting 2nd, born loser" tag that was looming around his name so far. Because if he doesn't take the risk to open up a long sprint, Affini obviously gets away with the stage win. Both strength and tactical sense to perfectly use slipstream.

Strong sprint. Well deserved.

Gaviria sprinted without a saddle.

Things not quite working out for him lately.
