I think that even locals aren't certain whether the riders are in Italy or Slovenia at a given moment on this circuit.

Honestly the amount of fans on the roads is the best thing so far in this stage, they make the final kilometres of Zonc look like a snooze fest in comparison.

On a related note, I've read that the dude who was pestering Fortunato yesterday was tackled by none other than Gilberto Simoni, who happened to be spectating nearby... not sure if it is true, but it would be a cool piece of trivia.

What a strange stage ? Sagan was in the breakaway, decided to drift back to protect the sprinters jersey - Yet if he stayed in the break he picks up more intermediate points and probably wins the stage for even more points.
