I know, Mohoric has never actually produced a good TT result but I have a similar feeling with him as with Lutsenko, that it doesn't really make any sense that he shouldn't be able to TT well. I don't think he can beat Almeida, though, but he could surprise by not being that far off.
He was never a good ttier and he will never be. I predict that he will loose to Almeida something between 50 seconds to 1 minute. The biggest threat to Almeida from the top 5 should be kwiatkwoski

Well, okay, but why isn't he? With a stunt like what he did on stage 19 of the Tour, you can't tell me he doesn't have what it takes to be a good TT'er.

I can’t explain to you why he isn’t a good Ttier, he surely has the legs and the watts to be a good ttier but he simply isn’t. Maybe he lacks the mindset to do iTT

Well, that was my point, wasn't it? I said he hasn't been a good TT'er so far but he suddenly could get it together like Lutsenko.

Then there's not much reason to say "he never will be" if you agree with me that he has the legs and the watts to be one...

I think Mohoric probably suffers less during the easy hours of a road stage as well as being really aero on a road bike, neither really help in an ITT

He is also extremely aero on his bike, that's another reason why it is strange he is not a better TT rider. But he is getting better and I don't think he'll lose anywhere near a minute to Almeida. He might surprise us.

On a road bike he is much more aero than other riders. On a TT bike not that much.

T
There is one, but apparently not on pcs.

There is checkpoint. Kwiatkowski 13s back.
Visually doesn't look that good. Tons of movement. You can see that he is giving it 100% and really wants it but doesn't look efficient at all

Ulissi 14s. So still 7s gap over Kwiatkowski in GC.
Mohoric 19s
Almeida 16s

Kwiatkowski 18.6 at finish. Behind Cavagna, Bjerg, Bodnar. Not bad.
Ulissi weakened. 35.2. Drops behind Kwiatkowski in GC
Mohoric 30.2. 2s in GC in front of Kwiatowski.
Almerida comfortably wins GC

if he didn’t solve his tt problem untill now it seems very unlikely that we will do it in the future imo

I've just realised that someone has reversed Almeida and he tried to enter "The most wins without other top10s" competion but he miscalculated his efforts on stage 5. No doubt Cavagna would've given up his stage 6 win otherwise and then Joao would've had 5 consecutive wins without another top10!

Did anyone watch it? How did Moscon screw it up?

(Not that it matters, I'm still angry there was no bunch.)
Moscon was likely the hardest working guy after they had realised they had a chance to make it to the finish (he was making more pulls on the front than the others). He eventually was skipping some turns in the last 4kms but on the finish he just looked empty.

Moscon's sprint is one of the most overrated things in the world. He did get a little blocked but nowhere near enough to have prevented a win.
