Nicely done Almeida! Probably the first time a Portuguese rider wins more than one stage in a WT race… maybe Rui Costa in Suisse can’t really bother to check. Anyway this is really what he needed, ride to win a bit without GT dynamics going around. I hope he rides the Italian fall classics, I always things like Emillia or Torino look great in the palmares

In any case tomorrow’s stage looks good for an ambush, keep an eye out for Bahrain and Emirates at least. If he can get through that I think GC looks like a strong possibility

For some reason in my mind I only searched for 1 week races. I probably thought in GT it would never happened but at least Rui Costa I should know since I even saw the stages xD

Slight spoiler for some other races today:

Now we just need the break to hold on to the line with the bunch hot on their heels in this race as well.

Einer Rubio moving left, right, braking, accelerating just trying to keep up in the front group. LOL.

How many riders who are completely incapable of riding their own bikes can you put together in a WT peloton?
This was the goofiest finale I've seen in a long time. Unbelievable.

Very nervous finish that could went worse than it did. Almeida almost lost the yellow shirt. He got closed at the barriers side so he had to go outside and that made lost precious energy and time to the final push. Nevertheless unless something weird happen he will close this contest tomorrow in the iTT

I know, Mohoric has never actually produced a good TT result but I have a similar feeling with him as with Lutsenko, that it doesn't really make any sense that he shouldn't be able to TT well. I don't think he can beat Almeida, though, but he could surprise by not being that far off.

Watched that and half of those guys need to go back on Zwift as they clearly can't ride in a group.
Look at 6:16. What is that JV rider doing with that Movistar rider?? Is the aftermath of that what causes the last crash?
