Remember that even the tiny nations, like Monaco and San Marino, send a team.
I don't think the Vatican does. Though, we have seen a cyclist in a priestly get-up recently.

Could actually be an interesting men's race, with Colbrelli, Evenepoel, Pogacar, Cosnefroy, Mollema and Almeida on the startlist. Unfortunately we still don't know the full list yet.

I was wondering why Fausto wasn't selected. He is training currently in Tignes and is towards the end of the training camp. Looking at quickstep program he will be doing something like Luxembourg or Slovakia as prep for Italian classics. He can definitely win Lombardia as long as he is not sacrificed for the Zwift Prince Remmco

Sonny, Bagioli and Trentin are all in good shape and are fast finishers, but if Pogacar and Evenepoel go early it might become a tough race so I'm not counting on Italy winning its 4th straight EC.
France has an interesting team with different options.

Obviously a big exaggeration for effect, but it doesn't have a huge appeal to many riders, most go there if possible but would never make it a season's goal. Also it's not a race where you "have to be" if the course remotely suits you. And as viewers, well, few people get excited about this race, although of course it's cool to win the jersey.

I have no good explanation why I feel that way but in my opinion special ITT races (that are not part of a stage races basically) should be at least 40km.
22km just seems ludicrous short.

I think it's high on the list of priorities for a European rider, especially on a course that suits. It will prove more popular over the years and seems to have hit a sweet spot on the calendar.

You still have to be the fastest of the field. Equally difficult whether it's 4 kms or 80. Just a different type of test.
