Colbrelli was also the strongest on the climbs. Quite interesting, really, for such a rider.Huh? What brilliant tactical plan should Remco employed? Colbrelli was the strongest so he won. Sprinting is part of being strongest.
Yes, he makes gestures, but so what? He is a great racer, why do a few hand gestures rile you all up like that?
I wonder if Italy will now do their traditional fail at the world championshipsI really wish italian sprinters would stop winning this....thats four in a row now
hyperbole?Really? That was the most ridiculous thing you’ve seen? Was this your first race?
Says something without saying something doesn't it?Funniest thing is Gilbert was saying "anyone on Bahrain" was the favorite for today
What tactic should Remco have employed exactly? Please enlighten us oh brilliant one.Movistar tactics seems 200 IQ when compared to Evenepoel's.

Remco is a top talent and a really likable racer
But he has to learn some better tactics
That was just a pretty general comment, not in reference to this race specifically. You can win races in different ways. You can be strong and ride smart also. How many times have seen riders attacking or making the race. But not winning for variant reasons. There the moral winner. Or they did too much work and just lost out in the end.
I wasnt saying Remco should or could have done much else than what he did. His chance was to drop Colbrelli on the last climb.
Remco is super talented, but seeing things like that is really disgusting. He shows this behaviour time and time again too. Take your soccer attitude elsewhere please.
is this your first time watching cycling? Please enlighten us with what he should have done?

For some reason he seems to be very polarizing for some people. Not entirely sure why, because I certainly don't feel it.I really dislike the forum when Evenepoel is involved in a race
Why must everybody mock him all the time? Why is it so hard to understand the situation he is in and empathise a bit with him? Yes, he makes gestures, but so what? He is a great racer, why do a few hand gestures rile you all up like that?
Usually, everybody acts like policemen assigned to spot and penalise wheelsucking, but apparently not when Remco is involved. He is just an object you can kick at because he has the audacity to show a little bit of frustration.
Didn’t even look like Colbrelli went full-on in the sprint. Remco’s going to have a tough time in his career with his lack of speed.
His only hope is to really drop everyone and come in solo. Every single time.
Despite a catalogue of classy winners and a stacked start list for this edition, some tried to talk down the importance of the European Championship - And we ended up with an attacking and exciting race.
You'd think that by now he'd know that he would loose to Pozzovivo in a sprint, that kind of behavior seems a bit immature. I doubt that there's any malice involved, but it kinda rubs me the wrong way.Classless behavior.
Hope he grows and becomes a better person.
