AKA inconsistency............Landa is strongest on long climbs with constant gradients. He is weakest in TTs and short explosive climbs.
At least he looks more compact and less all over the place on the bike going downhill. No doubt a graduate of the Zakarin Academy...........
But he's consistent at his weaknessesAKA inconsistency............
He will blow up again when you tell him this.At the rate this is going Yates will accidentally get back into the top 10.
Err, Rui Costa was a legit GC contender. So long as the race was in Switzerland.
Almeida, the only rider I know who goes faster uphill than downhill.
I said he was like Klöden.
It's the GIRO and funny thing is that there is the embarassment of choice for stages like this in Italy.Absolute chaos in this stage!!
I’m still in recovering mode because I spend a lot of watts just from watching it from my couch. Love it!! This is cycling at his best!!

This stage proved that we need more of those medium mountain stages with ups and downs!! Getting tired of those high mountains uphill finishes where the GC guys only attack a few kms from the finish. It's the GIRO and funny thing is that there is the embarassment of choice for stages like this in Italy.
Indeed, but it is also the narrow, twisty roads that make the race difficult to control by the big teams. Just look at how Ineos derailed today. This stage proved that we need more of those medium mountain stages with ups and downs!! There are 7 riders in front of Nibali. If Carapaz crashes and Hindley has a bad day lo Squalo can still win this Giro.
That is my main issue with the Giro design. The Appenninnes are packed with opportunities to create great hilly and medium mountain stages. From the murito madness we've seen a couple of times in the TA to the kind of stages like today. It's a real shame they don't take advantage of these opportunities more often. This stage proved that we need more of those medium mountain stages with ups and downs!! Yes! You could have a killer stage between, for example, Rome and Rieti or Gubbio and San MarinoThat is my main issue with the Giro design.
