Mas and Vingegaard must be kicking themselves for not racing this Giro.

I'm not sure on Mas (I'd expect he'd be pretty much in the same position as Carapaz and Hindley where he's not bad enough to be dropped and not good enough to drop them), but Vingegaard would win this easily as he's a much better TTist than the others here. They wouldn't drop him and he'd beat them handedly in the TTs.

I do think Bora should have taken Vlasov here and Hindley or Buchmann did the Tour. He's stronger than both imo and might actually have been able to attack Carapaz.

Vlasov and Caruso should have been at the Giro

Confirmed.

I quite like Hindley but I'm afraid I agree with you about not wanting to attack. He seems to be satisfied with a podium rather than go for the win. He might be feeling defensive about 2020 Giro criticism.
Or maybe he realizes that he isn't going to gap Carapaz and is willing to leave it to the TT which is often a lottery for non specialists anyway. Or maybe he's just on his limit. None of the three riders has been dominant on any of the climbing stages. Just closely matched it seems.

Awful stage. Awesome finish.

Landa and Hindley are the two most negative and boring GC riders I've witnessed in a long time. They new to grow a pair. Carapaz is the most agressive of the three and he doesn't even need to attack.
Mate what are you smoking to compare Hidley and Landa. Do you know who is Mikel Landa? That guy attacked from far out so many times and entertained us.

-Giro 2015 stages 8, 16, 20
-Vuelta 2015 stage 11
-Giro 2017 stages 8, 16, 18, 19
-Tour 2017 stage 13 raid ( as a gregario)
-giro 2019 stages 13, 17,
-tour 2019 stage 6, 15,
-Giro 2021 stage 4

This Giro he was a bit dissapointing so far but its because he is going on a raid on the passo San pellegrino tomorrow to win the giro.

Plus he rides on the drops, smokes cigars, plays the accordion and called Simon Yates stupid.

I've never seen Hindley attack

Congratulations to Koen Bouwman for the stage win.

As for the three musketeers. I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. I feel that if any of them could it already would decide the race. And i still feel nobody wants to really leave the decision to TT.

As for their mano-a-mano style today. It started good but then a whole lot of mano joined in.

That did spoil the party a bit.

I'm sure those 14 attacks will win him the Giro this year.

I do hope that he goes on a raid tomorrow but if the Giro so far is anything to go by, he'll do some half-hearted attacks on the last climb, just as Hindley will.
