Like, seriously, what is their objective?

Ya, would have thought they'd try and get their best climber in today's break and go for the win. Im not sure GC teams will chase down today so it's a good opportunity for a stage win.

Also a bit surprised Fortunato ain't in that break. Could get himself a good stage win here again.

5:30 already, peloton will have to start riding soon because there's enough climbing pedigree in this group that one of them could turn out to be a GC threat.

Peleton will leave them take it and get the gap to sub 3 mins at the end when Ineos tempo ride Etna. Alpecin won't be defending the jersey today and with Yates crashing, it's up to Ineos really.

Peloton to give the break Pereiro-like distance. GC guys to finish together in a group of 20. Carapaz to break loose with 50 meters left for a 2 second gap.

Pretty much all of BikeExchange near the back, is Yates also hurting too badly? This field might have become very bland before the first mountain.

Also very surprised at Ineos not pulling. Not only do they have something of an obligation to do so in these circumstances, it's also an opportunity to exploit any Yates injury.

Horrible for GC if Yates is fecked after that crash. Would be the two main unpredictable riders out that promised to make this Giro interesting. Yikes.
