Maybe my memory is selective and I just remember the good times. :kissingsmiling:

Also, the peloton is leaving Sicily

Did Cav manage to get up that ramp to get onto the ferry or was he dropped?

Seriously, UCI, please revise the wildcard system so that only the top-25 teams on the UCI ranking can get GT invites, because this is just pitiful. None of these teams are capable of being anything more than breakaway fodder (hardly surprising when they rank alongside the better continental teams), and they can't even be trusted to do that much. You could have had one of the more exciting talents in the sport in Tobias Halland Johannessen battle it out on GC, instead we get to be reminded what the Bardiani jersey looks like once a week.

Albanese, Fortunato, Rosa, Tesfatsion, Cepeda and Zana are certainly capable of being more than breakaway fodder...

Guys

Riders do indeed make the race

And the races made by riders in flat stages gets worse every year

Or people just forget boring stuff from the past?

But okay, I will concede that the wild card teams usually are a bit more offensive in their approach in the Giro.

I wondered whether to put him on the list given today's development. And maybe his level is not to anything else. But I really don't think we can assess the reasonableness of their inclusion yet.

I at least think that EOLO deserve their spot.

There hardly any point for Diego Rosa (2nd at Lombardia!!!) to continue in the attack. Nobody is watching this stage so he doesn't get TV time for sponsors
