Or he's just not as fast as everyone seems to think. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost some of his speed due to the heavy climbing training past winter.

I mean, Cimolai and Gaviria tried really hard to bring people down there. Am I too pessimistic? Maybe, but when it almost goes wrong twice, it's hardly baseless...

Tbh though, that was one of the best sprints I have ever seen. I liked all the drama and stuff going on. But yeah, didnt watch the rest of the stage obviously, but as a 10 minutes spectacle it was really good.

It depends on how well it is calibrated. If it didn't matter, the result should be clear from both of them (on the highest resolution available to the organisers).
Cees Bol the moral winner of the stage, Demare's win forever to be tainted by the rare double asterisk, one for all the deviations and the other because Masnada wasn't about to help with the leadout.

Especially Sinkeldam and Scotson are very impressive. Not sure Guarnieri will be in that leadout after this year tbh
All the talk about sprint stages and yet another good sprint. I always enjoy these stages, relaxing doing work or stuff around the house, listen to the commentators discuss the riders, check out their bikes and kits, learn about some no-name in the 1 man breakaway, then a build up of tension in the last 10 km with teams jostling for position, and then the excitement if my guy wins or frustration that QS-AV wins yet another one.
Also, man that MvdP is really poor at sprinting - 100th in the stage! Send this guy back to conti levels please.
