Quite a few teams missing out that should be in the breakaway. Wanty, Movistar, Jumbo... someone like formolo or oliveira from UAE. But I think a lot of riders tried and the big teams neutralized each other. So th next part of the race will be pretty dull. I would guess a rider from the gc group wins.

If PCS is correct the average speed is only like 30km/h so far, which even given the climbing start, is really slow.

It's a long day because everyone is gonna go slow for the next 100km, not because Cav needs to go balls to the wall to finish inside the time limit.

Now I hope for some action soon. Bora could go into TTT mode and attack on the first meters of Lanciano, with Kämna-Buchmann-Kelderman-Hindley. That would be some spectacular racing.
