Men's startlist (it's a 10-hour time difference with CET time so the first starter is at 7:30 CET)

Women's startlist

Just under 9 hours until he's supposed to start and we still don't know for sure whether the reigning champion can take part! Great start to the season.

I am unsure if Plapp will ride the ITT as he may be still be isolating after being deemed a close contact of his GF Georgia Baker - He should be right for the RR - There should not be an elite RR for men and women in both 2021/2022 because Government travel restrictions due to COVID have resulted in few Aussies returning home.

The key takeaway from the men's ITT is that Durbridge rode to the same level as the last 4 years - Once Dennis properly prepared then Durbridge didn't have a chance.

Can they please decide how that jersey is going to look? Now there's no red square on the lower left side?
They tried to hide it but there's still an annoying little triangle.

(plus some red patches on almost every piece of garment)

Dani Martínez won the Colombian ITT Championships. You know it's a stiff competition when it's Chaves who gets second (in a TT).

LOL. And Diego Camargo third. The weird thing is that Dani Martinez is not bad for World Tour standards and he won by 15 seconds. Go figure.

New-Zealand's TT is dominated by Bolton Equities Black Spoke Pro Cycling. They occupy the top 4, and winner Regan Gough isn't one of their better known riders. What makes it even more remarkable, is that UAE's Finn Fischer-Black and George Bennett finish 5th and 7th, more than two minutes down.

Black Spoke also took out the U23 mens TT with Logan Currie.

Higuita repeats. It would have been nice to have Chaves but luck didn't help him. Higuita is a worthy winner anyway. The plans are to send him to the Vuelta. ??? Do they plan to win big at the Tour or they are just going for stages?

I think Bennett with a train, Vlasov for GC but without much support (basically like Keldermann last year) and the rest for stages.

Netherlands - VAM-berg yet again, same two ascents but this time with a longer circuit that therefore has more flat. Also, the men's RR is on Friday.

It's a similar story for the TT - again in Emmen, different route, finishing on an entirely different man-made hill - feel free to ridicule.

Belgium - pan-flat race (albeit with two early passages through De Moeren for the men) around Middelkerke, the previous host of the TT championships, which will be on a slightly more rolling course in Gavere this year.
